The novel "The Bank of Happiness" by Mohamed Amr begins in its introduction with a dedication to "the blessings that we have become so accustomed to that we thought they were an acquired right." The events begin with a major crisis in the life of each of the novel's main characters, such as the loss of income or family and the loss of health or freedom of belief, and the heroes think themselves to be... He knew what they had given and what they had taken from the world and they were satisfied with the final balance, and suddenly the equation is reversed, and each one of them is forced to find the happiness that he lost, so the desires and priorities of the novel's heroes differ as they seek to regain their lost happiness, through choices that are the most bitter, and each one of them rearranges his priorities. He also rediscovers himself again. On a long and complex journey, they all face unexpected things, and the biggest surprise remains what they discover within themselves.
There is a major error in the final balance, and the account statement must be reviewed! This is the first thought that comes to the mind of "Moataz, Suzy Ashraf, and Nemah"... Each of them has paid all of his dues and is not ready to bear more losses. Yahya's circumstances are different from all of them. He learned early not to expect good from this world, or so he thought until luck knocked on his door! Just as they are panting to regain their lost happiness, Yahya is carried away by ambitions that never occurred to him and were not worth this high price... Unfortunately, there is no way to go back now! .
The events of the novel take place in contemporary times, but the diversity of the characters' circumstances imposes a similar diversity in the atmosphere between the rich and the poor, an employee and an employer, a Muslim and a Christian. Their circumstances differ from each other, as does their outlook on livelihood and the causes of happiness. From the atmosphere of the Bank of Happiness: "The loss of health makes you a burden on the world. You always need someone who cares about you and takes care of your simplest affairs. You also feel humiliated if those close to you are busy with you. Worse, you may also doubt the excuses for their absence! For this reason, Ashraf viewed his account via the Internet.
